VULNERABILITY MOMENT
Sometimes, I have the most insane amount of Imposter Syndrome. Like honestly, I’m feeling a bit right now. I’m trying to not compare myself to other authors, I’m trying to not think about what other people do. But it’s hard. It’s hard when you see things and think…oh maybe I should do that because it will help me be more visible. It’s hard when you’re starting out and you have to go through the rut first to get to a place where someone cares about your book, or people read it without you telling them to.
I don’t really know how to let go of that feeling. Maybe I will over time. But right now it’s just…hard.
And then…February 3rd hit…and life changed. Today (which is when I’m writing this) I saw my book on the shelves of two bookstores. TWO!!! One in florida, and one in Wisconsin. I FULLY SOBBED. Fully. Like my book, is sitting on shelves as I am currently writing this newsletter, and I want to fully sob right now. FULLY

NEW AUTHOR FRIENDS, SPOTLIGHTS & MORE!
I’ve got more Author friends to share this month. Another ARC Sign Up! Some recommendations that I think we should all partake in, and some books to shout out.
Meet Rachel Holm!
Rachel grew up in Western PA and found her love of reading early in life, supported by her parents with frequent trips to the library and local bookstores. She stumbled into the bookish world in late 2020 and has embraced the bookish lifestyle whole-heartedly, diving headfirst into the Romance genre, becoming a book reviewer and Bookstagrammer. In 2021, she changed careers, taking a job at an indie bookstore and starting her first official novel-length writing project.
Now Rachel is getting an MFA in Popular Fiction at Seton Hill University and juggling too many story ideas for one brain to handle. She’s excited to continue to share Happily Ever Afters with you that bring the swoons, the spice, and the humor.
Check out Rachel’s book Capitally Engaged HERE!

Time for recs! Of these, I’ve only read one of them, but the other three have recently been added to my TBR! I am aiming to start them this month (let’s see if that will happen lol) But as part of the celebration for Black History Month, I want to recommend some books by Black Authors! If you choose one, let me know and let’s read it together.

I hope that with everything going on in this world, you are finding peace for yourself. It is not easy to watch the tragic events we are witnessing, so please take care of yourself. However remember that this is about innocent people and the mistreatment of them. It’s disheartening, unfair, and is a statement towards how this country sees BIPOC communities. Again, I’ll share the link of ways to support and help.

Thanks again for being here, and I hope to see you later this month!
