I’m writing this while actively avoiding working on my manuscript because depression is real. It has many forms, and mine sometimes shows up out of nowhere. We’re not here to talk about that, but transparency is key for me. It’s been a rough week, and my mind is playing tricks on me but atlas…we still try.
Something that has been on my mind this week aside from chaos is why do I have so many ideas for books right now. Let’s be honest, I am a creative in my day to day work, which allows me to tell stories all the time. But currently, I have about twenty book ideas AND I haven’t even gotten Book 1 out yet (HELP THE SPIRAL). All of sudden it’s like my brain wants to see so many things happen and I want to do them all.
You’re probably asking what those are, and being honest, I’ll tell you. The Mission Series which starts off with Mission Accomplished, was originally just going to be four books. I had a plan y’all! I really did. But as I’ve been working on book 2 & 3, I’ve realized that there are some characters, that I know people are going to ask about. I know there are characters that deserve stories. So now we’re at 10…HEHEHEHE. 10 freaking books in this one series.
Luckily one of my best friends has already helped me with cover ideas, titles, and color schemes. So we’re not all that bad. It just hit me all at once that these characters are definitely going to need stories too. So that’s 10. Let’s keep counting.
My second series which will be about engineering and science has six books. This one I am very excited for because it involves a certain inspiration that I KNOW people are going to love. I’ll leave this alone for now because I don’t want to spoil too much. And then the third series is a spinoff of series one and has 4 books. WHAT IS MY LIFE!?
I just have so many thoughts and ideas, and I can’t wait to show them. I think you all will enjoy them overall, and you will get to know some amazing characters.
